CITY OF TIPTON – SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING – WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 16, 2024

A special meeting of the Tipton City Council was held at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at City Hall.  The call for the meeting was a signed written request by City Council members Ben Avery, Mark Towner, and Sara Dilley.

The object and purpose of the request was to discuss and approve to offer the written contract prepared by City Attorney, Paul Gregory for the sale of the restaurant building owned by the City of Tipton located on Lot 9, Block 27 in the City of Tipton, Mitchell County, Kansas; Physical address is 504 Main Street, Tipton, Kansas to Shirack Enterprises, LLC.

Those present were Mayor Jarrod Shivers, City Clerk Brigit Gasper, City Council members Ben Avery, Mark Towner, and Sara Dilley.  Councilmembers Jessica Krier and Michael Ohnsat were absent.

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Jarrod Shivers.

The agenda was presented with the only agenda item being the written contract prepared by Paul Gregory,  for the sale of the restaurant building owned by the City of Tipton.

Those present were provided a copy of the contract prepared by Paul Gregory, the City of Tipton Attorney.  Discussion was held on the contract. 

A motion was made by Ben Avery to offer the contract for the sale of the building to Andrew and Brandi Shirack, managing members of Shirack Enterprises, LLC.  Sara Dilley seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

That being the only agenda item, meeting adjourned at 7:50 pm.
